Tamar Shemesh (b.1991, Jerusalem) is a Visual Storyteller and International Development Practitioner, she is a member of Native Agency and Diversify Photos. Graduate of the International Center of Photography (ICP) in New York, she also holds a B.A. in Sociology & Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an M.A. in Sustainable Development from the University of Padova.

Her Anthropology background nurtures her visual work as she explores themes of identity, femininity and culture. A contributor to Middle East Images, her work appears in TIME, Ha’aretz, ZEIT, and more.
