Tamar is a Tel-Aviv based visual storyteller, documentray photographer and photovoice and development practitioner.

Studied Photojournalism and Reportage in EFTI-International Center to Photography in Madrid, she is a member of Native Agency and Diversify Photos. 

B.A in honors in Sociology and Anthropology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and M.A in Local Development from Padova University (Italy). Her M.A thesis dissertation examine the photovoice methodology as a narrative and visual tool for community development.

Since 2021 she is a Country Director in Innovation Africa an International NGO with the mission of providing access to clean water and solar energy to rural African communities. Since 2019, she is also the Arts and Communication Director of  “People of the Streets” A photovoice international project that create space to voice and represent homeless communities firsthandOver the past 5 years her work focused on gender issues; femininity and women’s rights, peace building and faith and religion.

Passionate about visual storylling as a means to voice silenced social issues and fringed cultural phenomena. Fluent in Hebrew and English, proficient in French and Spanish, basic in Italian.
